Sweating is normal. It's one of the natural ways of releasing toxins and fluids from the body. What isn't normal is when you sweat excessively. Not only is this embarrassing but it's also not good for your health, as this may be a sign of problem with the sweat glands.
Excessive sweating, also called Hyperhidrosis, is caused by excess fluids released through the sweat glands. This can also be caused by other factors such as menopause, gout, pituitary gland disorders, diabetes, obesity, and so on. Obesity leads to excessive sweating since an overweight body heats up faster than one with normal weight.
If you're seriously bothered by this condition, you would need to see a doctor immediately. If not, you would probably want to do some of these home remedies that may help alleviate the condition of sweating excessively.
Drink tomato juice a day for one whole week. This is one of the best ways to cure excessive sweating. Although tomatoes may not appeal to you in the form of a juice, you would eventually like the taste when you drink it every day. It's also a good source of vitamin C and other nutrients so consuming this on a daily basis would also be beneficial for your health.
Everyday, after taking a bath or shower, apply talcum powder on your body, particularly on areas that sweat a lot like your underarms. Not only would this absorb sweat coming out from your pores, it would also eliminate the body odor.
If deodorants and perfumes don't work for you, try potatoes. Potatoes are not only great for making French fries, it's also a good way to curb excessive sweating. To make use of potatoes, cut them into thin slices and rub gently under your armpits.
Another effective home remedy for this problem is cornstarch, which some people use as alternative to deodorants. Like the talcum powder, the cornstarch also absorbs the sweat on your skin while removing the unpleasant odor that comes with it. Apply this on your body at the start of the day, and re-apply each time you feel like you're beginning to sweat excessively again.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Unlike the previous remedies, which can only work either internally or externally, this one works both ways. For one, you can apply on the armpits to remove the body odor. You would also need to mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and two teaspoons of honey and take it three times a day.
Home remedies are not only effective but also practical. You don't have to spend big bucks just to solve the embarrassing problem of sweating profusely.
